Christmas Memories

A scent of pine in the air,

a fire burning brightly on the hearth;

where stockings are hung with care.

Chilly air and mounds of snow,

sledding down hills of fluffy white,

Jack Frost nipping at your nose.

Mama making pumpkin pies,

roast turkey and dressing too.

Children playing with gleeful cries.

Visitors come from far and wide,

family and friends too seldom seen.

All sit down for dinner side by side.

The coming of Santa and gifts galore,

giving thanks and wishing good will to all.

My heart holds these memories and many more.
